"By being provocative, I can insinuate debate and bring people out of their comfort zones. Controversies, such as the constitutionality of an up-skirt photograph, or a stolen nude image posted online, are what I am drawn to, as well as the notion of something being forbidden. What is forbidden is seductive, particularly when thought of in the context of what is private versus what is public, such as voyeuristic photographs. With our rapidly changing culture and technology, we continue to question what is acceptable and what is not; sometimes hastily judging the explicit images that bombard our lives. These conflicting feelings are confusing, just like the rules we place on society, yet the censoring of these images silences the artists and takes away our freedom of expression."
